J.R.C.S. Falconry

J.R.C.S. Falconry display team present an exciting…entertaining…and educating experience.
Meet Jan and his falconers with his birds of prey: The Elizabethan Hawking Party, with ladies on horseback riding side saddle. See the wonderful handmade costumes, and the birds flown during that period.
The static display includes, “Q” the Hooded Vulture, “Zulu” the Harris Hawk, “Sas” the Lanner Falcon, “Talia” the Eurasian Eagle Owl, “Cklas” the Russian Steppe Eagle, and the queen of birds of prey “Ezrie” the Golden Eagle with many more. See one of the most impressive static displays ever seen; with over 25 different species of birds and falconers always on hand to answer questions or give impromptu talks about the birds. We are here for the duration of the Festival.
Experience the most exciting and fantastic flying displays. Jan’s speciality is audience participation. Flying up to 11 birds, with enthusiastic and light hearted commentary, see the hawks fly through the human trees, feel the speed of the falcons as they fly close by, watch the silent owls fly low over children and even get the chance to have the vulture eating out of your hand, always a popular attraction!
