The many horticultural exhibits at the Royal Welsh Smallholder and Garden Festival are housed at the heart of the event, in the bustling and colourful Floral Hall.
The Floral Hall encompasses a Professional Competitive Tradestand and Garden Section, which was very successful, with total prize money of £5,415.00 being awarded to exhibitors in 2008. Horticultural related societies and organisations with promotional stands were also well represented in the Hall.
The Floral Hall has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2002, attracting exhibitors from across the UK. The Festival aims to build each year on the success of the Floral Hall and increase the number of floral displays whilst maintaining the high standard of quality.

Also present at the 2008 Royal Welsh Smallholder and Garden Festival was the Daily Mail Gardening Roadshow, mixing entertainment along with Horticulture. Prizes were also given away all through every show, such as Hayter or Flymo Lawn Mowers, Black & Decker Hedge Trimmers, Wilkinson Sword Shears, Cutters, Trimmers, Gardening Gloves, Seeds and numerous new Horticultural books.
Floral Art Competition
The Society was delighted to feature an exhibition of this artistry created by floral clubs and aspiring young arrangers. Exhibits were entitled “Country Living”, “Pretty in a Pot” and “Picnic Time”.

“Picnic Time - four cup cakes on a plate”.
