Recycling

Take Care of Your Waste

There will be a number of recycling stations at various locations on the Showground, please do the best you can to put the correct waste in the correct bin. Each station will be made up of 6 bins labelled plastic bottles, drink cans, food waste, glass bottles, paper and card, and general waste. There will be recycling wardens about so if you need help just ask!

Free Prize Draw… Count the number of green recycling bins on the ground with the Llanwrtyd Community Transport logo on the front and you could win £25.00 worth of resin sculptures. Each resin sculpture is unique, made at the Llanwrtyd Community Transport workshops in Cilmery, made from recycled glass collected at last year’s Festival and other local events. Collect application forms from the Llanwrtyd Community Transport Stand in the Green Horizons (Eco) Exhibiton. Draw will take place on this stand at 2pm on Saturday and also Sunday afternoon. There will be one winner on each day. It could be you!!
Llanwrtyd Recycling
Growing Opportunities from Festival 09 …… Traders are making every effort to use biodegradable paper plates and cups at this year’s event. These can be placed in the Food Waste bin at the recycling stations. Did you know that last year nearly .5 of a tonne of food waste and biodegradable plates/packaging was diverted from landfill and sent to Cwm Harry Land Trust for making into compost!
