Green Arena

The “Why Bother?” Booth!

Saturday and Sunday – all day.

Throughout the weekend Green Horizons has a range of great talks and question-answer sessions, as listed below in the Green Arena.

But these cannot cover ALL of the subjects and issues – some of them controversial – that people want to discuss!

So – we have created the ‘Why Bother’ booths. These are an opportunity for participants and visitors to Green Horizons to design and manage their own short talks and informal discussions on green issues they consider of current relevance.

Subjects that people have already flagged up to be debated include…

Localisation, Fair Trade, Bio Fuels, Community Responses to Climate Change and Wonderful Welsh Grasslands!  There are also some Msc papers from students at the Centre for Alternative Technology, and Chris Jones of the Forestry Commission Wales will be running a few ‘tree doctor’ sessions.

Let us know if there are other sessions you would like to hold or attend and we will do our best to accommodate!
