Supreme Champion & Reserve followed by Pork Classes and Kune Kune Breed Section.

10.30am – 12noon - Breeders Pig Agility
12 noon – 1pm Lunch Break
1pm – 2pm – Pig Breed Exhibition & Parade of Prize Winners

Cattle Section

Saturday 17 May

10am – Judging of Cow & Calf Competition followed by judging of Maiden Heifer Competition
11.00am – Judging of Promotional Stand Competition

Angora Goat Section

Judging to commence at 10.00am on Saturday 17 May. Judged under BAGS rules.
Classes – S.171, S.172, & S.173 will be judged after lunch.

Angora Goat Fleece Competition

Judging will take place in the Goat Building on Saturday 17 May commencing after the livestock judging has been completed.

Angora Goat Craft Section

The Section will be closed for judging on Saturday 17 May between 10.00am until 12.00 noon or until judging is completed.

Pygmy Goat Section

Saturday 17 May

10.30am - Introduction to Pygmy Goats: Talk and discussion on conformation and management with reference to a variety of goats.
1.00pm – Parade of Pygmy Goats. How to Show a Pygmy Goat.
4.30pm - Introduction to Pygmy Goat Keeping. Talk illustrated with adult female and her two kids in
Speakers’ Corner (Glamorgan Hall)

Sunday 18 May

10.30am - Introduction to Pygmy Goats: Talk and discussion on management and legal requirements illustrated by reference to goats of varying age.
1.00pm – Parade of Pygmy Goats. How to Show a Pygmy Goat.
3.30pm - Pygmy Goat Keeping: Health and Management.
A variety of goats will be used to illustrate this discussion.


Dairy Goat Section

Times may vary at the judges discretion
Friday 16 May
7.30pm - All milking Goats to be stripped

Saturday 17 May
7.30am / 7.30pm - Milking Competition
10am - udging of Classes 205 – 210 ~ Female Kids
11am - Judging of Classes 211 – 216 ~ Goatlings
2pm - Judging of Male kids       
2.30pm - Judging of Bucklings
3pm - Judging of Classes 219 – 224 ~ Adult Male Goats
In addition various demonstrations will be held during the afternoon under the theme –‘All the things you can do with Goats and their Produce’.

Sunday 18 May
8am - Full Udder inspection followed by Milking in the Ring
10.30am - Judging of Classes 225 – 230 Milking Goats
12 noon - Awarding of Champion & Reserve followed by Sire & Progeny Group & Parade of Prize Winners
In addition various demonstrations will be held during the afternoon under the theme –‘All the things you can do with Goats and their Produce’.

ITV Gardening Question Time

Sunday visitors to the Festival can enjoy the ITV Network Gardening Question Time, which has now been in existence for the past 12 years, covering over 1,683 shows. The Question Time, will consist of 3 x 60 minute slots.

We look forward to seeing you all in The Floral Hall on SUNDAY 18th MAY 2008 (Three shows per day 11.00am, 1.00pm and 2.30pm).

Floral Art Demonstration
Mrs Cynthia Hughes will present a Floral Art Demonstration entitled “Ribbons and Roses” at 11.00am Saturday in the demonstration area in the Floral Hall.

Book Signing
Author Tia Jones will book sign “On Open Ground” at 2.00pm Saturday in the demonstration area in the Floral Hall.
