Princess Royal to open Royal Welsh Show
This year’s four-day Royal Welsh Show will be opened by HRH The Princess Royal the first Royal visitor to the event since the centenary celebrations of the RWAS in 2004.
The Princess Royal last visited Llanelwedd in 2002. She will open the show in the main ring at 10.30am on the first day of the event – Monday July 21 – and will spend several hours touring the showground. Subject to confirmation, her programme will feature horses, cattle, sheep, the shearing and woolhandling section, and also the Food Hall, and the poultry, forestry and countryside care sections.
