Royal Welsh Student of the Year


The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society’s Student of the Year award for 2010 has been won by Angharad Haf James, of Castell Du, Llanwnen, Llambed, Ceredigion, a student at Coleg Sir Gâr – Gelli Aur.  She was chosen from three entrants for the award, one a fellow student at Coleg Sir Gâr and the other a student at Coleg Meirion Dwyfor – Glynllifon.

The award is open to candidates who have completed NVQ Level III or BTEC ND/NC, C&G certificate/diploma courses in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Nursing, Horse Management, Countryside Management or other land-based management courses.

The winner will be presented with a certificate and a cash prize for a study tour on the first day of the Royal Welsh Show.  She will be invited to write an article for the 2011 issue of the Royal Welsh Journal.
