Young Innovator with Natural Recourses
£2,600 prize money – £2,000 – to the overall winner
£300 - to the entry with the greatest reduction or / and sequestration of Carbon
£300 – to the entry with the greatest reduction in water usage/wastage and/or improvement in water quality
Judging Criteria: -
Applicants should be 40 years old or under on the 31st of December 2010. Judges will be looking for evidence that the applicant has made a personal contribution to managing natural resources positively. This may include the:
reduction or sequestration of Carbon OR / AND
having put in place steps to reduce water use and wastage OR / AND
increase water quality
in any rural business including all land management / agri-environment enterprises.
Any further plans to reduce the carbon footprint of the business activity will be important. Judges will want to see evidence of an economically successful enterprise that is managed to conserve and enhance the natural resources of Wales while benefiting the local rural community and safeguarding traditional rural skills
