The Tigers

Hold onto your seats and prepare yourselves for one of the most exciting in air spectacles. Experienced parachutists from The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment’s Parachute display Team, “The Tigers”, dropping into the arena, smoke trailing, flags flying, performing several amazing formations both in the air and under the parachute. The team have many varied routines all of which are dynamic and will hold you captive throughout the entire display routine; combine this with an equally exciting commentary given by one of the team members and you have the opportunity to be part of one of the most awe inspiring arena displays at any event.
The Tigers have been in existence for 20 years and are firmly established as one of the top parachute display teams in the country. The team has been very successful in competitions throughout that time with the team attending such events as The British National Parachute Championships and even the World Parachute Championships 2003. Currently we have several minor sponsors; however we are always on the look out for a major sponsor to support the Team. The Team is the flagship for the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment. The Regiment’s seniority stems from the Tangier Regiment of 1661 and so it has the distinction of being the senior English Infantry Regiment of the line. Soldiers of the Regiment are recruited from Kent, Surrey, Sussex, London, Hampshire, Isle of White and the Channel Islands. The Tigers freefall team is made up of volunteers from all the battalions of the Regiment.
The Team performs displays throughout the country the majority of which would be carried out within the recruiting areas as mentioned above. The team is lead by Cpl Clarke. He is responsible for all aspects of the organisation and running of the Freefall Team. Cpl Clarke is also a British Parachute Association Instructor, Army Parachute Association Jumpmaster and Team Leader.
Although the Display Team members are highly qualified and capable, there is always the possibility of an unforeseen accident or incident. Spectators who watch the display do so at their own risk with regard to what they witness. No related spectator claims will be supported.
