Special Train
Arriva Trains will again be running an additional service in each direction between Cardiff and Builth Road during the week of the Royal Welsh Show. (Other timetabled services will operate as normal.) The organisers of the Royal Welsh Show are offering a discounted admission rate for those people travelling by rail to attend the show:
Adult - £15.00
Seniors only - £14.00
Children 5-15yrs - £4.00
Children under 5yrs – free
(Plus the relevant rail fare depending on which station the journey commences from.)
A free shuttle bus service will provide a link between the rail station and the showground.
There are a couple of ways of buying tickets:
Tickets for the train journey, shuttle bus and show entry can be bought from any staffed railway station or station agent.
Tickets for the train journey only can be bought on-line by visiting www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk; if buying on-line, the shuttle bus and show entry ticket will need to be purchased from a staffed railway station or from the conductor on the train.
All tickets are available from now.
Discounts – Normal discounts apply for rail cards and children’s fares but no free travel is permitted during this week.
