Tel: 01570 470557
The garden is largely laid out to display varieties of maple and complimentary plants in the conditions they will thrive in. Therefore plants for the moist but well drained, semi-shaded situation have been selected; included in the display are shrubs, perennials and grasses woven in between the maples to compliment shape, form and colour of foliage. Contrast and texture of leaves are very important in the garden to provide a rich tapestry effect. Acers can be grown successfully in pots and a few are included along with sculptural pieces of wood and stone for extra interest. Colour is provided by reliable and hardy perennials, euphorbia, geranium, bergenia and hesperis, which has the added delight of being perfumed. No garden is complete without grasses and in May the golden ones are particularly lovely. It has been endeavoured to create a pleasing but exciting combination of plants which hopefully will give the viewer new ideas in respect of their own garden.

Daily Mail & ITV Gardeners Question Time
Back by popular demand
The reason for the show being so popular over and above all other Gardening Question Time is ...it is a show with a difference. The difference being that we try to make it light-hearted, mixing entertainment along with Horticulture. More to the point for the customer, is that there are prizes given away all through every show, plus there is always 'MAJOR PRIZE TIME’, when such prizes as Lawn Mowers, Hedge Trimmers, Shears, Cutters, Trimmers, Gardening Gloves, Seeds, numerous new Horticultural books to name but a few are given away.
The show is not only educational but very entertaining, if your problem is portable bring it along with you, as so many of the public have done this in the past and gone home with smiling faces ....a day and show not to be missed.
Three shows per day 11.00 am, 1.00 pm & 2.20 pm.
